Rules of the Red Rubber Ball

Wow. What an incredible book. Everyone should read it. David read it yesterday a.m., passed it to me...made me read it RIGHT then. I took it to Kristin...made her read it...RiGhT then! Then we talked about a number of people who would be utterly inspired by it. (We also took photographs...)

When I got home, Katie came over. What to do? Make her read the book! And she loved it. Wow. How incredible to watch her come alive! She's a senior...and so much a sponge right now about her future. We're working on her senior project. I don't know who's more excited...me or her. We're going to create a darkroom and develop b&w photos. We're also enlisting the help of Kristin B.
We just ordered some supplies on eBay. Here's Katie opening the goods.

Back to the book. Get it. Read it. Live. :)
Here's a link to the author, Kevin Carroll's, website.
Rules of the Red Rubber Ball

We're supposed to get somewhere from 6-9 inches of snow tonight. So far...nothing. I was supposed to go to Dallas this weekend. Nope. Didn't go b/c of the threat of weather. All i have to say is BRING on the snow. Mom called a minute ago and really tried to play down how much fun they were having. Thanks MOm :).

This happens on a daily basis...

Abby hears her Daddy drive up....

She runs to the door... and tries to open it...but can't...see the frustration start??

Then...Daddy's Home!!!!!!

And everythings better...

I just got a new 20mm lens which I LOVE! It's a wide-angle and it warps some too. I love it. Here's some random stuff...

Self-Portrait

Hayden watched me edit these...he said, "Why was I sad?" I said, "You were POUTING!" He just giggled.
Evidently we don't feed Abby enough.

Me & Kristin playing with the new lens....:).
The kids love to put puzzles together. Ok...Hayden loves to put puzzles together. Rhyan and Reghan are kind enough to indulge him two or three times in a row!!

Yes, we have a CLOSET full of clothes for Abby. We can't keep them on her. She strips. As I'm typing this, she has stripped her PJ top off. I'd rather her strip now and get it out of her system. I'd hate for her to have this internal burning desire to strip gurgle up to the top, surface and be unleashed like beast when she's ... older. :)

Yes, she has a diaper on. I promise. Miss Katie took this. That's my leg. What you can't see is me shaking my head at the little stripper.
The little bathtub diva. See her toenails? She and Reghan had an afternoon at Reghan's Rad Day Spa.
Cross from the Chrysalis I led. David made it for me. It's a long story...but he took part of the wood from the cross that Dad had made. The wood from the crosses came from Babara Mandrell's land when I worked for her.

It's Sat. a.m. now....and OH WOW. We have a trace amount of snow. I'm very bitter with the weathermen at the moment. I'd like to be in Dallas right now ... at market ... oh well...you wouldn't get this update if I were gone. Lucky you! :) haha
