Trey & Tyler

Wow...the last week has been so crazy...and I haven't posted any about my friends Tyler & Trey Thompson. They were in an aweful vehicle accident last Sunday. Their young friend Keith Cypert saved their lives. Praise God!

Trey has been released from University Medical Center in Lubbock, and Tyler is still in the ICU burn unit. Tyler had one skin graft yesterday, and will have another on Monday.

These guys are the real deal. They are solid men who love God and love their families.

The communities of Munday and Knox City have surrounded these families in prayer, fasting and support like you can't imagine.

I went to highschool with Tyler. (Well sort of...he went to school in Munday, and I lived in Knox City - 12 miles away.)

Trey's wife Ronda is one of my dearest friends, and I was a part of their wedding back in ...um...1995?? Sadly, it's taken this accident to bridge the gap in years! Isn't that aweful! Ronda is the most amazing person, and I have so much enjoyed spending time with her in the last week. We certainly won't let time and distance get between us again.

My other "old" friend Kacy Latham has started a blog about the progress of Trey and Tyler.

Click here to read the story, see photos of the wreck, and stay up-to-date on their progress. What a blessing that so many have reached out to help during this time.

Please join the thousands (and i mean that literally! As of tonight - there were more than 35 thousand hits on the blog) in praying for Trey, Tyler and Keith during this time of recovery - and praise God for the healing.

Love you Thompson families!

Hi Steph, love your blog site. I don't know how I can ever begin to thank you for everything you have done for me and my family. I feel God sent you to be my personal angel while we were in Lubbock. I am so grateful for the time we have been able to spend together and we certainly are not going to let another 13+ years go again before hanging out together again. Oh yea, it was Dec.1994! Time flies. Anyways, thank you, thank you, thank you for just being YOU, but I nee to tell you that your thoughfulness blows my mind. Thank you for all the goodies, edibles, pizza, fruit, the use of your lap top, yummy soups, miracle magnet, cowboy cross, your TIME (I know how valuable it is), you blessed me immensely when you came to the hospital at midnight to haul me to the trailer for all my stuff and getting me "together" You went above and beyond and I will never forget your acts of kindness and only hope to reciprocate but not due to an event such as this. I love you Steph and I thank God for you, May He bless you and your family always. Love and prayers, ronda
