Just call us zip-tie queens! We got his sign up just a second ago-&
doesn't it look GREAT! We're off to get ready for Zac to step off that
bus :). Rumor is he's anticipating the Olive Garden for dinner :)

Improved sign

Look at how it pops! Tomorrow morning we will hang it on the fence at
the entrance to the base. You should see all the signs! I will post
some in the next few days.

Welcome home sign

When zac left for Iraq he made megan promise not to make a mushy
welcome home sign. Here's what we came up with: (meg & zac joke about
this all the time)

This was 8 years ago this week!! Can u believe that?!?

Almost there

I fly Southwest any time I can because we have free tickets. To get to
Meg & Zac its an all-day affair. I left at 10:20 am (its the earliest
flight out). Landed in Raleigh at 8:30 pm (its the closest SW
airport) Now I'm driving the final 2 hrs to jacksonville. My 14 yr
olds- chomping to get a driving permit are quite jealous of my rental
car: a cool cat mustang. Oh I feel like I still got it :) -
wait ... Did I ever?

Dear dad-

We are about to land for a quick stop in Birmingham. I can hear my dad
break out in Forrest Gump character as I type. Nashville's next!

Headed to NC

Sitting on the plane ready to dept Lubbock for jacksonville nc to see
my meg & to WELCOME ZAC HOMEftom Iraq!!!! Note the nice brown windy
sandy haze as we leave. My hair & teeth are riddled with dirt.

Will be checking in when I get to Dallas!

Nothing stops the boy

See the Brown in the background? Thats just a taste of the nasty sand
blowing. Oh but it won't stop ATV boy :)- just throw down the
windshield & put on mom's (ultra cool) shades :)

Such sibling sleep

The truth be known ... They are asleep in MY bed. This is where they
come in the middle of the night. If we get them a king size bed do you
think they will stay out of mine?!

Reghan has incredible determination. What she doesn't realize is that
doing such things just PROVED her capabilities :)

Seriously. I didnt want to publish this but-we seem to have a serious
rat problem at our house.

Not really. But for abby's sake it would have been better.

I wasn't even OUT of the room. I was around the corner. This is
compliments of Miss abby kay- who is incapable of sitting at the
moment (wonder why).
I guess maybe she thought the stuffing in the couch wasn't quite
'plush' enough. This photo is only half the mess. Oh yeah b/c I
angrily stuffed the first headrest back before I thought 'oh-this will
make such fantastic blog material' and grabbed my iPhone.

What in the world. I'm sure mom, marla, kb, & mandalyn are having
quite a laugh at the moment. Yes. My child.

St. Luke's Southwest Groundbreaking

Sunday I joined my mother & father-in-law, Barbara & Ray Ehlers at their groundbreaking ceremony and service at St. Luke's Southwest Campus off 98th and Frankford.

WOW. What a service. I'm so thankful I was able to be a part of the morning.

Hayden is having water wars on the sea-doo (he's in red). Rhyan is
playing water basketball. David is getting a massage. I am sitting.
And I'm not getting a sunburn-didnt even have to apply sunblock. Oh.
Did I mention MY massage an hour ago? Oh x 2- there is a Starbucks in
the lobby. Can I get a Glooooooo-reeeee?!!

Best place EVER!!

We are staying at the grand Wolf Lodge in grapevine!! Seriously-this
is the best place ever! 80,000 square foot INDOOR waterpark! We got
here at 6:30 & its 11pm now. We r WORN out!

Boys trip

Ok. I'm about to pee in my pants from laughing.

We r on a boys trip with rhyan & hayden- we left after rhyan's
tournament (he scored 9 points in his game today!) and after hayden
fell off the bleachers backwards. Needless to say, I missed the last
game.

Back to the peeing explanation: hayden just told rhyan to QUIT
LITTERING and buckle up or I'm gonna call 1-1-1!!!!

Shame or rhyan for littering b/c he wasn't wearing his seatbelt.
