Holy Crappie!

Hayden, Abby & I are fishing today with Nannie & Pepaw. The water is about 6 inches over the spillway! Abby is very intruiged with minnow & Hayden...well..he likes to pee off the boat! More pics (via phone) later!

Muck Dawgs

The Mighty Muck Dawgs finished their Tee-Ball season last Saturday.What a showing! They NEVER lost a game...! We've had so much fun watching the boys, and look forward to Coach Pitch!

This is my cousin Joe & his wife Amanda's beautiful daughter Kayleigh. WHAT a ball full of energy. We had fun. At the end....I was pooped...she still had 3/4 of a tank.

Quick Update

Wow we have been a busy family!
David has been putting in the hours planting cotton! The baby cotton looks so beautiful, and we're so thankful!

Rhyan & Reghan are officially FRESHMAN-wow! They have a super busy summer with sports, camps & other fun stuff.

Hayden Regh & Rhyan are getting over a terrible virus, too. Hayden was sick first...then Regh. & Fri. Night...Rhyan's turn. They are all much much better. Rhyan is able to keep food down now. Thanks for your prayers.

The photo in this blog is Mr. Hayden Ray's caterpillar. He found it at Rhyan's game (which I might add that Rhyan pitched an AWESOME GAME!!
Nannie & Pepaw were in town, and of course Hayden brought his 'new pet' home. The next morning Hayden woke up very early and hollered to his Nannie that 'MY CATERPILLAR IS AWAKE!!!'
Abby's creature unfortuanately suffered different circumstances. Abby, like her Moma, isn't a bug fan. She tried...but before we left the game...um...she stomped said catepillar to his death. OH but...BIG news...the wonder child is POTTY TRAINING and doing fantazmic!!! Generally the strong-willed-do-it-herself child looks at her mama-who offers potty help- and tels her 'mama get out of here!' Lovely.

Hayden is fishing withig his Nannie & Pepaw this weekend while I'm helping Kristin shoot a wedding in Houston.

He called last night with one big fish stort...and it was TRUE! 'Mama...I catched a big fish & it broke my pole!!!'
Yes sireee Bob! When the line jerked, thankfully Nannie & Pepaw lurched for the pole thus saving their grandson from future lake trauma b/c of being jerked in the water by a very agressive fish!

Just wait...more crazy summer stories to come!!!

Update on Chef Hayden

Self-proclaimed utensil tosser Hayden 'Chef'-erd has lost his hat.

We're proud to tell you that the 4 year old came forward with the truth behind the loss. However, due to the nature of the loss he still received his father's hand on his hiney.

'Mama, where is my hat? Oh I flushed it in the potty!' was how the confession began.

Please pray for the above chef as well as his family's sewage system.

Meet Hayden 'Chef-erd'

I took the kids (yes...that would be me and 6 kids...David was planting) to Tokyo Palace today. We had soooo much fun, and Hayden and Abby actually behaved.

Hayden is always intriuged, but tonight seemed to really affect him!

I have no idea where Hayden came up with his name... "Hayden Chef-erd"

The video is taken with my phone...so it's not great...but it IS hilarious!

Alpha Company Meritorious Promotion
March 2nd



Meritorious promotions come seldom for most Marines, and even fewer get meritoriously promoted more than once. Such is the case for LCpl. Zachary Lindsey who will be promoted to Corporal on March 2. Joining the Marine Corps was something he had always wanted to do, and so far he’s showing he was made for the job. Bored with college, he signed up and stepped on those yellow footprints in January of 2006. With an eye on finishing his bachelors and perhaps becoming an officer, Cpl. Lindsey continues to excel by simply being the best Marine he can be.

Look at those pearly whites! Wooo Hooo! Rhyan got his braces off today! David took him for his appt. Rhyan then headed back to school ...HIGH SCHOOL! Today is fish day for the 8th grade! Congrats Rhyan!!!

Hayden's class at Indiana Avenue took a field trip a while back to Krispy Kreme! They took a behind the scenes tour, and then made themselves a sprinkled donut!

P.S. I don't think any of them napped that afternoon. haha

No More Brace Face

I just dropped Rhyan off ar Wentz orthodontics...to GET HIS BRACES OFF!!! He's so excited! I'm sure he'll spend the rest of the day licking his bare pearly whites!

Pet Peeves

I can't remember the last time I posted on our weekly topic...sorry! I do, however, know my pet peeves. In no specific order...and I'm sure there's more than these...

* I hate being late to movies. No...I hate being on time to movies - i want to be EARLY. I never get to really go see movies anymore, so it's a whole package getaway experience. I want to be in the moment from the start. Just ask David. I hate being late to movies.

* On that note...unless you are my person, do not talk to me during movies...it thrusts me OUT of the movie moment back in to reality...a dark theater :).

* I want you to tell it to me like it is. I don't want sugar coated info..you know! I may not respond like i WANT to hear it...but i really do. ie: i very much dislike it when my kids don't just TELL me the truth. Or when I need to be told something about myself and my dear loves one's want to paint this elaborateness then bring it on gently :). Please don't do this.

Ok. Enough pet peeves...going back to bright & shiny. :)

Baseball Boys

Rhyan & Hayden are playing in the same Baseball organization this year. Rhyan's playing at the top of the club...and Hayden...at the bottom!

They had their first game a few weeks ago. They played next to each other! How cool is that! Rhyan's on his same Pirate team that he played on last year. He's pitching, catching...and hitting great this year!

Hayden...well...Hayden's on the Muckdog team. They are soooo fun to watch. Everyone bats, and I think the goal is to get them familiar with running the bases. Hayden was the "catcher" the first game. I think he grew rather bored until they started letting him put the ball on the tee for each hitter.

Talk about a runner...well...Hayden huffs and puffs...and TRIES to get his legs-a-movin'! More photos to come!
